During the first few days of July 2003 the Ross Revenge was moved from her longstanding location at Queenborough to a new location at Strood, close to Rochester and Chatham. After only a couple of weeks at her new location,
your webmaster was lucky to be offered a flight opportunity to photograph the ship, and the results are shown here. In the fullness of time, other pictures of the Ross Revenge will be added to these gallery pages. If you have anything you would like to contribute, please feel free to contact us via the "feedback form" link in the main menu.
Thanks to Philippe Marbaix in Belgium for the above picture.
It was a very hot (close to 35 degrees!) and humid day, with a fair amount of haze when these pictures were taken out of a perspex window on the plane, which also adds to the haze.
The crane barge seen behind the Ross was also tied up behind the Ross for quite a while when she was in Queenborough. A short distance across the water from the ship is a Russian Submarine. All pictures are copyright of rossrevenge.co.uk and Radio Caroiline Sales and may not be reproduced without permission. My grateful thanks to C McKain for arranging the flight opportunity.
